The curriculum

The Art
of Becoming.

The art of becoming your super self.

Kids don't join programs. They join identities. The Art of Becoming gives them one worth claiming — with a code to live by.

The core idea
What happens between what you experience and what you choose to do?

That space — between the trigger and the choice — is where lives get made or broken. The Art of Becoming trains young people to own that space: to pause, to read the moment, and to choose who they're becoming instead of reacting to what's happening.

How it's built

Identity. Belonging.
A code.

01

Identity

Students answer the central question: Who am I becoming? Not who the block says they are. Not who the worst day says they are. Who they're choosing to become.

02

Belonging

Every young person is looking for a crew. We give them one — built on growth, accountability, and looking out for each other. Loyalty to becoming, not to the streets.

03

The Code

The Super-Self Codes: principles students claim as their own across waking up, understanding the damage, rebuilding, and becoming. A code they can stand on when pressure hits.

Why it works

Built from
real life.

This curriculum wasn't written in an office. It was built from lived experience — growing up on Chicago's South Side, losing people to violence and the system, and learning the hard way that the split-second decision is everything.

That's why students listen. It's not theory. It's survival, turned into a system any school can run.

Curriculum + technology.

The Art of Becoming builds the capacity. MoodCheck reinforces it every single day — check-ins, tools, and alerts that keep the work alive long after the lesson ends.
