MoodCheck by Super-Self is live

Catch it
before the crisis.

The student early-warning system. Daily check-ins. Counselor alerts. Real patterns. So schools can help before small struggles become crises.

The definition

su·per·self

/soo-pur-SELF/ · noun

  1. 1.The strongest version of you. Channeling your emotions into something creative, productive, and powerful. Clear in your decisions, moving with purpose.
  2. 2.The person you are becoming. Not who you were, not who the world told you to be. The one you're building one day at a time.
  3. 3.Someone who shows up for themselves every day, so they can show up for others.

in·sti·tute

/IN-sti-toot/ · noun

  1. 1.An organization with a purpose. Ours: young people becoming their Super-Self.
The mission
Young people who can face conflict, fear, trauma, and pressure — without turning it into violence.

Everything Super-Self builds serves one question: what happens between what a person experiences and what they choose to do — and can that space be intentionally developed? We believe it can. And we build the tools that develop it, every single day.

One system

Not a program.
An identity.

Kids don't join programs. They join identities. The identity is simple: becoming your Super-Self. Super-Self is one connected system — curriculum builds the capacity, technology reinforces it daily, books go deeper, speaking ignites it.

01

The Art of Becoming

The curriculum. Identity, belonging, and a code students claim as their own. This is where the capacity gets built.

02

MoodCheck

The daily technology. Students check in, counselors get alerted, schools see real patterns. This is where it gets reinforced.

03

The Books

Ten books. One mission. The reading library that goes deeper on becoming — written for the students living it.

04

Speaking

Cornelius in the room. The spark that starts it all — real stories, real talk.

Meet MoodCheck

The early-warning system
for student well-being.

This is an academic strategy, not a feelings app. MoodCheck gives schools real data they can act on — before a struggling student becomes a crisis.

1

Student checks in

A quick daily check-in: what they're feeling, why they're feeling it, and what they want to do about it.

2

Struggling students get help instantly

Difficult check-ins unlock action steps, coping tools, and videos — matched to what the student is feeling, right in the moment.

3

Urgent signals reach staff

The "I need help now" alert goes straight to counselors and school staff. The teacher keeps teaching.

4

Staff respond

Counselors see an urgent-first inbox, resolve alerts, and follow up with the students who need it most.

5

Admins see the patterns

Aggregate dashboards show real trends across grades and classrooms — data schools can actually use.

Partnership

Standing with AFSP's Illinois chapter.

Partnering with AFSP's Illinois chapter on the It's Real program — opening the conversation about mental health, and helping schools keep checking in long after.

For schools & districts

Built for the people
who sign the contracts.

The problem, plainly.

Schools find out too late. A student struggles for weeks, and nobody sees it until it's a crisis, a suspension, or worse. Counselors are stretched thin. Teachers see the classroom, not the whole picture.

What we do about it.

MoodCheck surfaces the struggle early — daily check-ins, instant counselor alerts, and aggregate patterns administrators can act on. The Art of Becoming curriculum builds students' capacity over time. One system, working every day.

What you get.

  • Real data, daily. Check-in trends by grade and classroom — not guesses.
  • Alerts that reach the right people. Counselors and admins notified the moment a student needs help.
  • Student-privacy protections. Role-based access, secure cloud infrastructure, no third-party data sales. Districts can review our practices with their own counsel, and DPAs are available.
  • Simple implementation. School join codes get students onboarded in minutes. Training and support included.
Who am I becoming?
That's the question.
This is the work.
